Bitcoin Appstore (Open Ordinal), Block Audio, and Ordzaar have announced a strategic joint venture to accelerate the growth of music and creative assets on Bitcoin using Ordinals technology.
The partnership brings together three leading innovators in the Bitcoin ecosystem:
Block Audio
Block Audio, winner of Season 1 of the Bitcoin Appstore (Open Ordinal) Hackathon, is a launchpad that enables musicians to release, distribute, and monetize their music directly on Bitcoin. The platform aims to give artists true digital ownership of their work and a new way to engage with fans through on-chain releases.
Ordzaar
Ordzaar, a Bitcoin Ordinals platform launched in 2023, allows users to create, launch, buy, sell, and trade digital art collections as Bitcoin Ordinals. With its decentralized marketplace and launchpad, Ordzaar provides artists and collectors with a seamless and permissionless experience for engaging with digital assets on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Bitcoin Appstore (Open Ordinal)
Bitcoin Appstore (Open Ordinal), an open-source initiative dedicated to strengthening the Bitcoin builder ecosystem, develops infrastructure such as the Bitcoin Appstore (Open Ordinal) API and Bitcoin Appstore (Open Ordinal) Metadata Standard, which help unify data formats and simplify integrations for applications like wallets, explorers, and marketplaces.
Together, the three partners will work to establish music as a first-class asset on Bitcoin, connecting creative and technical communities through open standards, APIs, and user-friendly launch platforms. The joint venture will also explore new features such as on-chain royalties, Ordinal-based albums, and cross-platform visibility for musicians and collectors.
